Detroit Pistons & NBA Talk

Missing a bunch of wide open 3s leading to transition buckets. Hate to see it every time

Pistons really don’t have any business playing D this well. I’ve got JB complaints but they’d never be here without him.

Shame Ivey is hurt. Could use some secondary creation right about now

Every time Detroit has had a chance to take control, they’ve missed a shot and given up a big shot on the other end. So many 4 and 5 point swing possessions.

Ugh had a shot there. Don’t know what happened on Cade’s drive after he broke OG’s ankles

Brutal over and back missed by the refs

Don’t think you can review potential backcourt violations at all, if they could only if called

I still can’t believe he didn’t get a foul there. I think it’s prob fair he didn’t if I’m being honest but jeez.

no one touched it, Pistons ball advance and side out tyvm

That sequence where Duren’s jump ball tip went out of bounds, followed by a KAT jumper, looms large.

Man, they almost got gifted from that clock malfunction. Saw the vision on the OOB play, but poorly executed by both Cade and the inbounder

Need more from Beasley and would be nice to get Stewart back.

I’m the most casual/bandwagon pistons fan possible. Has Ivey been good/promising thus far in his career prior to the injury?

This year he was at ā€œleague average starting shooting guardā€ level

Which is solid progress

He was also basically their backup PG

He had Schroder’s role but is better

God I can’t wait for this nugs to be blown up outside of jokic

I’ve long said the best way to sweep a weekend series in baseball is to win 11-0, then 12-0, then 2-1 in 14 innings, then 13-0. thunder are one game away from completing the basketball version

My random thoughts from Pistons/Knicks

For me the big difference was Brunson. He wasn’t nearly as grifty, didn’t dominate the ball as much. The Knicks will always go iso with him down the stretch but you don’t need to do it for 42 minutes, and I think the offense improved vastly as a result

Apparently Harris is the only guy that can deal with Towns, and his foul trouble hurt bad. I know he shot poorly, but he’s still pretty important

I thought Ron Holland was really good. Hopefully he learned to shoot

I think the Pistons can choose matchups better - seemed to content to have Cade attack Bridges and OG

On the Nuggets: I just can’t believe they decided to flush a season of prime healthy Jokic by playing this post season without a coach

Like the argument is ā€œMalone and Booth sapped their spirit and they won’t play hard for rhemā€

Well they sure as sh*t didn’t play hard last night

Also, if the key point of contention between Malone and Booth was ā€œthese young draft picks suck/know they don’tā€, I’m team Malone. Watson sucks. Pickett sucks. Strawther sucks. Nnaji sucks.
