I had my worst results, but that just means that I’m a better host than ever before!

I tihnk after watching the Magic basically never get within 10 against a Tatum-less Celtics team, despite Franz and Paolo largely playing individually well (Franz still can’t shoot whatsoever but the rest of his scoring game was strong enough he still graded out to solid efficiency), I’m more sure than ever that this Magic roster is completely non-functional

I’ve been pretty “meh” on Paolo but I do sort of start wondering what he’d look like in a vaguely functional offense - these last two games he’s been getting nearly as heliocentric as Luka on on the Mavs (exagerration, but everything was running off him)

Also - Jalen Green isn’t “good” exactly but his OTD game is basically the only way for the Rockets to get anything close to an adequate number of threes up

I dk if it’s non-functional but they really can’t put a lineup on the floor that doesn’t have at least 2 guys that aren’t even average NBA players.

KCP is probably going to bounce back? He hasn’t had a shooting season this bad in a long time. WC had an even more disastrous decline as a shooter.

I wonder if there’s not something they did in shooting practice that backfired.

Could see age + health (Suggs) + mean regression solving a lot of this too.

Suggs is obviously much better than what they’re playing at that spot, but I don’t think he remotely addresses their fatal flaw - if anything he exacerbates it (he is not a PG, he is not remotely a PG, the entire premise of him needs to be validated by Banchero being THE engine and I don’t think he’s that level of on-ball player). Like Suggs is a better player than Dennis Schroder, but I’m pretty confident this team would be much better with Schroder in that spot.

I strongly disagree that playing Schroeder instead of a healthy Suggs makes them better.

Their core has issues scoring the ball. But adding mediocre players to it can’t solve that.

I think lacking a primary creator is a huge problem, and Suggs is generally an anchor (not an aid) to cromulent offense

If you have Suggs-Franz-Paolo-Center adding in a good creator to that unit will win them many more games than what they have now.

If you add Schroeder, you won’t.

Pistons are so back. Doubt he’s doing First Day Out

Glad KAT wasn’t rewarded with a foul for that excessive head snap back there

KAT lucky he didn’t get a tech on that screen. Not the thing you want to let go if you’re the refs.

That is somehow only KAT’s SIXTH three attempt this series

He should have six a game

That…looked intentional to me

lol Brunson that was stupid

Absolutely a flagrant

Doubt it was intentional just because he’s not that sort of dude and I do t think there’s beef here

But yeah, 100% a flagrant

Should be upgraded to a flagrant. Brunson nowhere near the ball

Clearly intentional to the :eye:.

Where’s Mahorn when we need him?

Thibs needs to shave that head man

I doubt it’s intentional, they know each other, etc

It’s very common to try to obscure the shooter’s vision

Doesn’t matter they got the call right

Firmly agree

Don’t see 6 point possessions often
