The Bulls were missing everything even when they’re wide open. They bricked a layup. Just not their night. The Pistons will play them again the next game

Beasley 24 points in 16 minutes. Is that good??

Nice to see Detroit committing mass genocide

Got up to 101-52 in the 3rd. Guessing the starters will sit the whole 4th quarter.

That was quite enjoyable. Ausar was incredible in the first half.

Malik Beasley set the pistons single season record for threes today

They have 28 games left

They’ll put 140 on us tomorrow

No LaVine or Demar. Yes, Zo didn’t play (he should be set to play tonight), but he’s not the #1 option. The Bulls shouldn’t shoot this bad tonight but I would still pick the Pistons to win comfortably by 15.

I mean

There really is no rational explanation for any NBA team to lead another NBA team by 50+ for large parts of a game that don’t redound to some version of “some bad luck combined with a high level of apathy”

(The apathy can be held by the organization (lineups/rosters made to tank) or the players)

Still crazy to think the Bulls have a play-in spot. That should change though.

I am far from convinced it will change.

Getting the 10th spot is often and especially this year more a function of desiring it than any measure of quality

The last time the Pistons were 3 games over .500 was March 10, 2019.
Coincidentally, it was vs. the Bulls and we’d played (and beat) the Bulls two days before.

Can we do it again tonight? Yes.

Will we do it? TBD.

The bottom of the East is stinky and Philadelphia theoretically should be better but they stink. The Raptors are tanking but could accidently make the 10th spot. lol

The Hawks are interesting in that they traded out of some long-term salary commitments but I’m not sure they got worse. (Losing Jalen Johnson to injury obviously makes them worse but adding Levert, Niang and Mann to the bench might not be worse than having Hunter and Bogdanovich.)

Bogi had been horrendous this season

I think the Raptors abandoned the tank by adding Ingram.

I’m not sure how well all the pieces will fit but Barnes, Ingram, Barrett, Quickley, and Poeltl are all talented.

They sold DeAndre high because he had no value prior to this season. Bogi has been bad this season. The Hawks are an interesting team because they have injuries issues and clear roster weakness. They’re still building around Trae, but there’s a rumor that Trae might want out.

They’re just adding talent but I’m not sure if there’s coherency within the roster. Ingram is a ball dominant forward. Barnes and Barrett also need the ball in their hands to be successful.

Also, I think Ingram is overrated as a player. The contract extension is more in line with is talent, not the max that he was seeking. I think BI realized it.
