If Cade starts getting an honest whistle, he’ll have a 50-point game this year.
Until then, I guess a 40-piece in a 15 point win will have to do.
40 points. 3 free throws (1 after a take follow on someone else.)
He’s what I envisioned a couple years ago. Worth the wait. Going to see them Sunday. Im sure Lavine goes for 30 as well.
I respect that he doesn’t flop and flail when he’s taking contact but the refs need to start recognizing the hits.
Is the lack of FTs for him something that gets talked about in NBA circles? It is pretty wild.
He legitimately does not get star calls from the refs mainly because he doesn’t flop or foul bait.
……so he should probably start
Jalen Hood Schfino traded to the Jazz in a three team trade it sounds like. Pretty big news
Excited to read the analysis on the trade. I understand why each side would do it but surprised both how the you know what to pull to actually do it
Mind: boggled
First the Kings fired Mike Brown after losing to the Pistons at home and now the Mavs ship out Luka after getting blown out by the Pistons last night.
We end franchises!
This is the craziest trade I’ve ever heard of.
dangit I came here to make this exact joke lol
AD asked for another big and got traded instead
I’m stunned
It’s crazy. I can’t believe they traded a beloved star the season after making the finals. It’s just so unprecedented.
The only thing rationale is they must not at all respect Luka’s ability to stay in shape.
If that’s the main complaint, I feel like you should get someone that has played 65+ games regularly the last 6-7 seasons in return. Or a lot more draft capital. If you trade a top 5 player, you need to get top 5 assets in return and I don’t think they got anything close
I think it’s more likely Luka’s agent floated the thought he might not sign with them when he’s a free agent? Regardless of the reason, it’s a terrible trade for Dallas. AD isn’t helping them get back to the finals and the 2029 pick is going to be trash if it’s a Lakers pick. I’m sure a team like Brooklyn or Houston would’ve been interested in Luka and giving up a few of the 1st rounders they’ve got stockpiled. (I think those teams are the ones with stockpiled picks, if not replace them with whatever teams do have a bunch of 1st rounders coming up)
They were near a super max from what I’ve heard. And wanting a trade would have cost him a lot of money because of that
