Radio broadcast made it sound like a severe ankle injury. Hope it’s not as serious as it’s seeming, but it’s not sounding good.
Saw the replay. It’s not looking good. Hoping that it’s not a knee injury, but it’s looking like a high sprained ankle or a broken lower body. Too bad, he was having a great game.
Just a basketball play by Cole Anthony to dive for the loose ball. It wasn’t dirty, but it was a bit reckless.
Definitely looked like he was grabbing his ankle.
Obviously the only stuff out now is doctors making diagnoses from video but the speculation is ankle fracture with dislocation (think Gordon Hayward)
We’ll find out soon enough. I’m just hoping for the best case scenario. He was playing so well last night.
Also, he is currently shooting 40% from 3 pt on 5 attempts per game which is the best case scenario for Ivey. Just a minor tweak to his mechanics and it looks good and repeatable. Just hoping that he can recover 100%
After last night, he was up to 41% from 3. He was just having an amazing year from distance, plus he had 2 game-winning shots and multiple buckets to end quarters.
Broken leg
Honestly, as bad as it sound, it might’ve been the best possible news. It’s a clean break and no knee or ankle injury. I wish him luck for a speedy recovery and get better health wise and game wise.
Yeah, this is better than the speculated ankle fracture/dislocation.
In the video you can tell how distraught Cole Anthony is about the play (not his fault, going for the ball, things happen, etc)
In the first 15.5 minutes of their game last night, the Clippers beat the Thunder 40-24.
From that point forward, the Thunder beat them 82-38.
shockingly Jimmy Butler s having a bad breakup with an nba team
…and Trajan Langdon is ready.
This is the first I think I put it all on Jimmy. In Chicago, they had messed the team up around him and decided he couldn’t be the guy. In Minnesota they gave Wiggins and Towns all that money, and then tried to cheap out on him. Sixers again - Ben Simmons was the priority. All those are terrible decisions, and I firmly believe that “our mediocre young guys are mad that Jimmy is rightfully calling them out” is a larger problem than Jimmy Butler (it’s the overpaid mediocre young guys!). That said, he is unparalleled at making life h*ll once he feels slighted.
You might be wise to believe that.
Oh boy. 7 games is a lot. Must be bad behind the scenes
Lol why do people keep responding to me with updates on this story
I’m aware there are few players who can hold out and raise a stink like Jimmy
Still love the guy
Pistons win only 26 points scored in the 4th quarter but they’re now 16-18 now.
The Pistons are 7-3 in their last 10 games. They do have to face the rested Timberwolves tonight on the second night of a back-to-back, so that’s not ideal. A win tonight would really show something.
Bickerstaff is a good coach. What a change, they’re smoking the wolves
