Kuzma and Tobias are like the same guy right

Tobias is the good version of Kuzma

Certainly the more responsible version

Lol what was the point of releasing Reed?

Probably something along the lines of they weren’t playing him and he would rather play so they just decided to do him a solid

Have Tim Hardaway’s expiring contract too…

I think that’s the reason why Paul was released. The Pistons now have a one healthy center on the roster with Duren’s injury so who is gonna play minutes at center beside Beef?

Dare I say Ausar? It seemed like they had him doing a little bit of that against the Celtics, as crazy as that seems since he’s maybe 215 pounds. Otherwise, I’d guess Tobias. We may have the shortest frontcourt in the NBA, even with Duren.

I’m looking at the roster and they need an another big. Ausar at the 5 would be an interesting proposition, but it should be for a few min a game. Ausar would get murdered if there’s a big who can post up or body him up.

Basketball Reference currently has the Pistons at a 55% chance of making the play-in (plus a 2% chance of just getting in as the 5 or 6), 44% chance overall at the playoffs. I’d tend to think it’s a little better than that - the Bulls are a game ahead (and have higher odds) but are clearly trying to tear it apart, the Nets are 0.5 games agead (and have higher odds), but that’s going to get taken down to the studs. The Raptors have been really injured, and could press them, but they’re also still injured, and I doubt they’d push hard. The only teams in their stratosphere- that will push for it are the Sixers (who really have no other choice), and I kind of think the Pacers can go either way. I think the top 7 are pretty set (Boston, Cleveland, New York, Magic, Heat, Bucks, Hawks in some order) but I really have a hard time finding 3 teams below that who will be actually trying.

I don’t know if he’s actually available (my sense is the whole roster is availabile), but if the Pistons are spending $25m+ on a center, I’d much rather see them chase Nic Claxton than Vuc.

Same. He’s been a Pistons Forum favorite for a while.

He’s back. They cut him and signed McCoy. Waited until Reed clears WW and signed him for vet minimum.

The roster is now full and have met the minimum salary floor.

Ugh Pistons led 112-96 with less than 6 mins left and now we are heading to OT tied at 114. 18-2 run to close the game for Miami.

Past tells us they got this

Great job to pull it out in OT.

Cade had another monster game dishing the rock. Hardaway hit some big 3s in OT.

It’s been just an all-around crazy day for the Pistons.
The Reed journey.
The game.
And maybe being back down to two bigs as Stew hyperextended his knee and left the game in the 2nd quarter.
