Have to go under.

What are the odds they play Hardaway too? Feels like they will need both Beasley and his shooting for minutes even if Hardaway doesnā€™t get a ton. If they really try and win I think they can hit that over.

Hardaway will play a lot

Then I like their chances on the over for sure.

As long as they are playing some vets too , I think they have a good chance at that number.

I assume both Hardaway and Beasley will play over 20 mins

FWIW- From what Iā€™ve seen of highlight clips from practice, TIMMAY has been running with the 1ā€™s.

Still, Iā€™d guess the Opening Day lineup would be:

Cade
Ivey
Fontecchio
Tobias
Duren

I suppose that it could be THJr. instead of Fontecchio but everything else seems a lock.

Ausar still hasnā€™t been cleared for playing yet, which Iā€™m a little concerned about.

Iā€™d guess either THJ or Beasley starts over Ivey, but we will see

Based on the roster, I assume Ivey is the backup PG. So even if he starts the game next to Cade, heā€™s going to head to the bench after a few minutes to stagger so he can be out there when Cade sits.

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m thinking.

Warriors over 43.5?

I think Ivey comes off the bench as well.

Yes I think

It might be interesting because day before starting lineup was

Cade
Tim Jr
Fontecchio
Tobias
ReedJr

I canā€™t tell you what lineup is better but a bench of Ivey Beasley Stew isnā€™t bad. Not including Holland or Thompson yet.

Starting lineup for the game tonight

Cade
Ivey
THJ
Fontecchio
Duren

Significantly more movement, cutting, passing offensively. Sometimes going too quick but it was nice to see. Ivey looks much stronger. Should serve him well on both ends. He was very good.

For the Bucks, Portia looks like he has legit 3 point range now. That adds a new wrinkle for them.

Itā€™s interesting that when both Cade and Ivey are on the court, Ivey is the PG. JB is utilizing Ivey in ways that Monty did not. Theyā€™re giving him space to go downhill and he drew fouls a few times which is encouraging. Also encouraging is his shooting. Ivey still has ways to go in terms of on-ball defense and navigating the ball screen, but the effort is there and JBā€™s coaching point is sinking in.

The defense picked up after falling behind 20-3 and dominated the rest of the game. Yes, itā€™s preseason without Giannis but considering the last few seasons, the defense looked much better than under Casey and Monty.

The Pistons shouldnā€™t be a tire fire this season at minimum which would be a big improvement from last season. They still need a rim protector, but at least they are active and rotating.

My thoughts:
Ivey - already said it from above
Cade - He showed he can play off the ball, but heā€™s still getting back to his game. I want to see continued development between Ivey/Cade on the court. Theyā€™re starting to get comfortable in the late 2nd quarter and early 3rd quarter.
Duren - Defense is still an issue, but heā€™s a lob threat. Showed a couple of good passes.
Holland - If he were to find PT, itā€™ll be on defense. Offensively, itā€™s still rough around the edge and still is a non-shooter.
THJ - He will drive us crazy with his shooting.
Beasley - Heā€™ll provide nice quality minutes off the bench as a guard between Cade and Ivey. Can shoot
Tek - meh
Tobi - DNP bc of injury(?)
Beef - Gave the Pistons a defensive spark. I like him coming off the bench much better as a starter.

Holland looked good 10 points 6 rebs 5 assists. Good D and didnā€™t try and do too much.

Heā€™s so rough around the edge on offense. One play where they had a nice ball movement and the ball went to Holland which he stopped it for some reason. JB will use this possession as a teachable moment to keep it moving because he shouldā€™ve passed the ball to Cade.

Defensively, he showed up. Heā€™s good at the point of attack and is disruptive in the passing lane. If he were to see time on the floor, itā€™d be on defense.

Pistons really had a better looking offense yesterday than all of last season. Better spacing, better ball movement, better defense, less turnovers. They were actually quite fun to watch.
