Vecenie was on the Titus pod recently and said that Ausar is a solidly above average athlete. So I don’t know, I watch him and I don’t see ‘elite’ athlete of Scoot, Cam, Amen fame.
Not sure what there is to say I don’t know about. He’s an elite athlete, Sam says it right there and has been said about him a lot
What do you think solidly above average is?
Elite
Solidly above average
Above average
Average
Below average
Solidly below average
Bad
Ausar is a really good athlete whatever category you want to put him in. He didn’t call him average or even just above average.
Medicals is the reason why he fell.
Question, who are players in the NBA you would describe as solidly above average athletes?
Gonna go with the thing he published as his final draft for the thing he spends his entire year working on in the primary thing he gets paid for at his job at The Athletic and you can go with whatever you want
A term like “solidly above average” refers to NBA players, not all people.
He’s not Amen, that’s literally all that matters to me. In other words, I don’t think his athleticism is as noteworthy as his draft position might suggest.
Yeah I mean if you can’t be the actual best athlete in the NBA then obviously you are dookie
Amen is gonna be one of the top 5 athletes from day 1. Ausur is not that level athlete but based on how Sam and the other draftniks talked about him, athleticism is still a massive strength of his game. So probably a top 20-30 athlete. Which is really good.
I think we can take “solidly above average athlete” as a very positive comment when every other time Sam talked about him, he spoke glowingly of the athleticism.
brice sensabaugh at 31
6th man instant offense
finally some shooting
Monty would hate coaching him lol
maybe kris murray still available
easier for monty to coach
I’m hoping for Whitehead
Edit: Whoops
jinxed yourself
and now I jinxed myself
kris murray gone
There’s still alot of players I really like (won’t say who because of the jinxes) and at least a couple of them will still be available at 31.
Was just about to post it. Good call by James.
Everyone agrees Ausar has work to do but I think “above average athlete” is underselling what he brings there
Sasser seems like a good third guard but it seems like they’re aiming low with it, try to draft a guy who may start
