Leaving to deal with his mental health. Sounds like he has the support of the Spurs

I was there too. I gave my bobblehead away. No teal for me.

Why would they waive him if he has their full support?

Yeah, something doesn’t smell right with this situation. Either the Spurs are a shitty organization by cutting him because he needs mental health help or there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

Complete speculation at this point but if he is going to be out for an indefinite/long time he would be taking up roster and salary

Edit: it is entirely possible there is something going on with Primo too

Aw man, we got there a little too late to get one.

Lol I’m not sure ā€œterminating his employmentā€ is ā€œfull supportā€

Yeah, as more details have started coming out it is looking worse and worse. At first it sounded like he was stepping away for mental health reasons and I wanted to give benefit of the doubt but, you are right, things aren’t adding up

I have no idea and won’t speculate but 19 year old lottery picks in their 2nd year generally don’t get flat released. There is something here.

I think it’s probably tough for Primo being 18 years old rookie year. The Spurs don’t exactly have the same culture as they once did. Rick Pitino would probably say Tim, Manu, Tony and David aren’t walking through that door. They traded Derrick White last year and this offseason shipped out Murray. You truly do need a program to see what players are on this roster.

I’m not a bobblehead connoisseur (I have a Rip Hamilton one somewhere and that’s it) but this one seemed pretty nice. It had a sturdy base, and the face looked enough like Grant. One of the guys I was with collects them so I figured he’d enjoy it more than I would. Plus…the teal.

And somehow they’re 4-2 after knocking off the Bulls last night. Props to Pop. I thought he benefited a lot over the years from the talent he had but it’s clear he also knows what he’s doing.

Supposedly the stuff regarding Primo is bad. Andrew Slater hinted that he had a pretty shaky past as well in a tweet posted yesterday.

I knew there was more to the story than meets the eye. Primo threw away millions and his future over exposing himself to women. I feel bad for the victim from Primo’s action.

I’m on a ā€œwait and seeā€ on this. Bojan is good. But he should be somewhere else I think. He may be - but can’t be until the off-season now I think.

Guessing he’ll eventually transition into veteran shooter off the bench.

They won’t be able to trade him until the off-season now?

Not surprising good move

I think the extension kicks the can, yeah

Just looked it up - he is not tradeable until late April (six months after an extension), so he’s in for the rest of the year, at least.
