is that your dad in the picture
no, Ernie is not pictured
thatās an all-timer of a look for gilmore. when i see pictures from the late 90s/early 2000s like this i feel extreme secondhand embarrassment. short shorts all the way
So, MJ. Traitor!
thereās no way he ever wore these in a game right
That is one of the most ridiculous things Iāve ever seen.
I know TJ Ford is short but that looks like a 5 year old putting on his dadās gym clothes.
I will never stop recalling that Tom Izzo explicitly accused John Beilein of causing his players foot injuries. Now his players get foot injuries every year.
And the backhanded way that he did it, couching it as worry for Levert and kids in general. The guyās a master of his craft.
when i was growing up and following michigan basketball through the early-to-mid-2000s (emphasis on mid 2000s lol) i thought of izzo as such a good coach and reasonable guy who was always, like, complimentary of michigan. seemed like a decent enough guy. and he dropped that (which obviously i later recognized as just professional condescension) so fast once michigan was actual competition lol
exactly. the whole league did it this year to Holtmann (when they were losing 12 straight at least)
āyou should really keep this guy around who makes my job way easierā
Oh yeah, I remember Tiny Tom throwing a fit when Ellerbe was fired. And again when we fired Amaker.
Actually the guy on the left looks a lot like me except heās about a foot taller, somewhat muscular, and kinda good looking, but I did have that dirty blonde hair back in the day. Oh, and I definitely didnāt have girls looking at me like that hottie in the yellow dress is looking at Dan and Artis!
Oof Rutgers.
Iāll remember this yearās Rutgers team for the combination of terrible end game execution and heaps of bad luck on top of that.
Yeah, on the flip side there is some amount of luck to the game winning shots we hit against Purdue and Northwestern but those were top of the key three pointers from our best shooter in a halfcourt set. Thatās nothing compared to the shots Ohio State, Minnesota, and Hofstra (banked in three to go up 86-82) beat us with.
We left the door open for variance to do itās thing and boy did it ever. Iām still happy the season happened but Iām happy itās over.
Sounds like Michigan
This year was rough. Just body blows over and over again, never quite a knock out punch and weāre still walking around dazed and beat up even though weāve already clearly lost on the cards.
Even though itās the NIT, sort of proud of this team for still fighting after all the bad beats this year so canāt share in the feeling I would be happy if it was over already.
Michigan is one more game away from ānow you better go and win the whole thingā territory IMO.
Lose this weekend and nobody will care. If we all tune in again next week, the pain of losing starts to creep in.
