“Can anyone honestly say he isn’t slight?”
Yes. He’s not slight.

slight? Levert weighs 10 pd more than the Jamal Crawford at the same age.
You say that as if it’s complimentary in nature. Crawford was slight then and still is now. Didn’t say Levert couldn’t be effective, simply said the cameras aren’t as nice to Levert when he isn’t flexing. He’s still very, very small.
Are we looking at the same person? Like I already said, nobody is confusing him for Ron Artest… But he isn’t small anymore
Honestly, I just think I’ll withdraw from this particular topic. For somebody to say Levert isn’t small is kind of ridiculous in my view. In the normal sense of the word, the reasonable person would see Caris and say he’s skinny/small/slender…I think you guys are viewing this from a relative standpoint because he’s added weight/strength since his arrival, but he is still small from an absolute standpoint. Big difference between being cut/defined and having actual mass, Caris is still lacking pure mass.

Maybe to your “basketball mind”, Kevin Durant “is still lacking pure mass”, “is still slight”, “doesn’t look quite as impressive without intentionally flexing”, but as an average fan, luckily, I can care less.

Saying somebody is slight in now way shape or form implies anything at all about their abilities on the basketball court.
Even though this argument is a little pointless, I do agree with MattD. Caris, while packing on a lot of muscle, has a frame that is very slender and is one that is tough to add weight too. Considering that, he has done a great job none the less. In pure mass, Caris is still on the lighter side. On the flip side, with him being a guard I do not think his lack of mass is going to really hurt him in any regard, maybe a rare situation that a guard wants to post him up.

I am not disputing the fact that Caris, standing 6’7 and 200 lbs, is on the light side, compared to college or pro players of the same height. And I believe that everyone agrees on that. The real argument is on the negative tone in some of the comments. And I agree 100% with you that his “lack of mass” is not going to hurt his game.
I agree, while he has put on good weight and muscle, he’s still slender. Not sure why this is controversial - the vast majority of college and pro basketball players look way more like Caris than Anthony Mason or LeBron James. Jalen Rose was really slender, too - probably more so than Caris at a similar age (and there’s no way he worked nearly as hard as Caris in the gym).
I think it became controversial because using the word “slight” seems to have a pretty negative connotation.
