I love how Mike Smith and Jimmy Butler are literally just best friends :joy:

This might be an all timer. Dude might be the worst jinx in the history of the league if they lose this series.

I’m not sure why the kept letting Jimmy dribble into 12 footers one on one

That’s like his entire thing

And Middleton was the throw-in, or so it seemed at the time. In the short term, getting Jennings for Knight and Middleton wasn’t too bad, as Jennings was looking great for the Pistons and the Pistons had their what’s turned out to be their one hot steak since 2008. It was a win-wi
trade, right up until Jennings blew his Achilles out.

Yup, Middleton did say that if he didn’t get traded he probably wouldn’t have been the player he is at Milwaukee. It took him a while to discover his game and once he did, he took off so trading him was the best move for his career. There’s no telling if he would’ve eventually became an All-Star in Detroit since a change of scenery did him a whole lot of good.

Miami’s hit a bunch of doubles with its undrafted free agents. Not much time left for butler, but if it can hit a home run…

I remember Mike calling Jimmy his best friend. They’ve traveled the world together and everything lol.

Nuggets vs. Heat by next weekend?

Well if this score holds tonight, the Lakers are going to be chartering jets on their way home

this is the first time I’ve ever thought LeBron looks old

And he’s still only 3 boards shy of a triple double. :exploding_head:

Bruce Brown 14/5/3 this series

He still can hit that gear and blow by people from end to end. Maybe not every time down the floor but that’s still damn impressive.

He also needs to have foot surgery.

The big thing for the Lakers I think is the re-pumpkinification of DLo and to a lesser degree Schröeder. Lebron still doesn’t run THAT much pick and roll anymore, and not having a guy play well out of ball screens means it’s hard to pressure Jokic in drop, so you can’t even stress his relative shortcomings.

But if your team is structured to depend upon DLo, Schröeder, Reeves, and Hachimura to play conference championship level basketball, the problem is that you’re counting on DLo to be consistently good, which…

Is Jokic the greatest draft pick of all time? League MVP with the 41st pick?

The only other second round MVP is the recently departed Willis Reed, who won 1 in a smaller league (he won two titles but obviously wasn’t as good as Jokic). But back then, each round was 7 picks….so Willis would have been a mid-lottery pick today.
