2020 Transfer Market

I guess I just don’t think comparing Charles Matthews 370 total minutes at Kentucky to Bieniemy’s 1800+ total minutes at Oklahoma makes much sense. It was reasonable to believe CM had not been given the opportunity to play to his ceiling, I don’t think I can say the same about Bieniemy.

Veryyyyy curious to see what happens here

I hope it happens, but I can’t do this to myself lol.

Yeah I think I agree with Dylan on taking a sit-out transfer to build for the future is the move now. Next year is shot no matter what we do. No one we get is going to be a difference-maker on how the season plays out. Might as well add some depth so we don’t have 7 freshman next year.

Whoa there, didn’t say that. Michigan’s roster construction is awkward next year but there are still potentially multiple pros and a lot of top-100 kids on the roster. Gotta see how it shakes out.

I also think there’s a pretty real chance that sit-out transfers don’t sit out.

My own belief is Bieniemy, Kier, then just about everyone else in regards to who I think fits best. Really interested to see how the DDJ recruitment goes especially considering all four of the teams in on him are in on a handful of other guards, and all pretty desperately need a guard.

What do you mean by the rumblings and Carton being off limits?

DJ Carton did tour my department at UM. So, at the very least, he liked what UM offers academically.

I think Carton is likely to go somewhere close to home given the mental health aspect.

Here’s one of the five listed in that 247 Sports article.

I only posted the grad transfers because of that article. Figured I’d share it. They say they’ll be looking at other transfers and recruits next, but my guess is those future articles will be behind a paywall.

It’s not paywalled.

FWIW, these lists you guys are linking basically just seem to be lists of the top unspoken for transfers re-purposed. Doesn’t seem to be much reason behind why players are included. Different than a list of targets or something like that.

Here are some other lists:

Forgot about Landers Nolley. I wonder if the Chicago connection could be worth a call there

Would make sense if Livers stays in but if Livers comes back he just adds to the combo forward logjam.

Odd that they list Luther Muhammad.

True. Basically it’s just something to look at and consider possibilities for fun, regardless of how unrealistic they may be.
