2017 Recruiting Notes

By the time a '17 big sets foot on campus, Doyle is a senior, Donnal is senior and Wilson a junior. Teske would be a soph. That’s assuming that all of the above stay and don’t transfer. I think that it’s wise to recruit bigs for a spot two years down the road.

My bad

@Kn212003: Don’t think he plays with the 17s, so Beilein didn’t necessarily watch him with Davis/Bowen.

He plays with the 16s, with Jermaine Jackson and Loyer

I just saw a team picture on Twitter and assumed it was 17’s. Bacari was watching the 16’s and so did Beilein according to Tillman’s mom

Film from nearly a year ago…but based on this (would need to see more film), I would actually prefer Jacob Cushing (2016).

I like Floyd’s film a little better but both guys look like they would be nice fits for us. Gunn looks like a left-handed Towns to me at this stage.

Gunn has nowhere near the ballhandling ability based on the film above.

Well, at this time last year, Towns hadn’t showed much in terms of ballhandling. Maybe more than Gunn, but he was a shooter above all else by a wide margin. I meant more in terms of body type (long, lanky), nice three point shot, low release point (Towns has improved that aspect), and some nifty ability to hit floaters and score in other creative ways around the rim without being a high riser.

Good point, I agree that Towns has come a long way with the ballhandling in the past year.

Reports are floating that UM offered Christian David

Michigan won’t offer a 2017 prospect until June 15
